Danish Army General Goertz.  Danish General Goertz refused to cooperate in actions against Jews by German occupying forces. Was arrested by Germans.  (Flender, 1980, p. 67)


Danish Naval Vice-Admiral.  Like General Goertz he refused to cooperate with Germans during the planned deportations of Danish Jews. He remained in prison rather than cooperate. He said “There is no point in exchanging one done for another done.”  (Archives Royal Danish Library; Flender, 1980, pp. 67)
